Oi, na verdade, o Linux não é para todos, mas para alguém da minha idade.
Mas é ABCD e eu preciso colocá-lo no Linux, já que várias bibliotecas têm migrado para o SO
Eu tenho alguns ajudantes de apoio, guia-me, estou realmente na lista de ubuntu.es e dormidas aprendendo coisas. Mas estudar não é a mesma raça.
Deixo isso para o meu neto. Começa este ano na UBA.
Vou continuar treinando com o ABCD e Linux.
Nesta lista, muitas vezes, não leva em conta que muitos de nós bibliotecários.
E nós ignorado. As respostas são sempre para Ciência da Computação. Nunca uma tábua de salvação para um bibliotecário.
Mas não se preocupe em explicar-lhe biblioteconomia, tais como catálogos, classificados, é indexado.
As formações são diferentes, a nossa é mais pedagógica do que você.
Nem todos os bibliotecários querem que você faça as coisas, se eles trabalham juntos.
Só agradecer, talvez a minha máquina era problemático e por isso o apache morreram ou nunca estivesse vivo, e sei ....
Mas eu vou continuar tentando. Aqui temos de colocar o ABCD em linux.

Como fazer para ver o site, por exemplo, ficou sem resposta .... mas eu tenho uma semana pela frente .... continuar o teste

I am sorry you had problems with your operating system. I have tried to help based on the fact that operating systems such as Linux are usually managed by technology specialists, system analysts and system administrators, that is to say IT personnel in most cases.
Windows and Mac are different, of course, provided both have based their operation on a graphical interface while Linux can be fully operated by a command line shell.

El comando PS, no hace otra cosa mas que mostrar procesos en ejecucion.
NO mata nada, para matar algun proceso existe el comando kill
Creo que si uno duda de algun comando, hay que ponerse a estudiar y no "confiarse"
y ejecutar comandos sin saber.

Bueno, se murio mi Ubuntu, el apache no funciono mas y el ABCD que tenia una base migrada a linux desde el Winisis, esta muerto.
Empiezo de nuevo.
Asael, cuando des un instructivo asegurate de informar para que sirve.
A mi, me mato el apache y no se volverlo a resucitar
El Ubuntu no encontro mas localhost
Asi que tengo hoy 5 horas por delante para empezar de nuevo.
Con la ayuda de Egbert yo iba MUY BIEN.
pero no se que hace ese instructivo que diste y me confie
La culpa es mia, pero por si alguien intenta escribir ese comando... no se que hizo en mi UBUNTU, pero ya nada quedo igual

Just complementing the previous message. Different distributions of Linux have different approach on where to put Apache2 and/or PHP.
For Apache, some of them may be set to /var/www/httpd or /etc/httpd or /usr/bin/httpd, just to cite a few.
It is more suitable to execute the following line to discover where the Apache has been installed and is running:
ps -ef |grep apache

the Apache2 binary executable (which in Windows goes in the bin-folder of the Apache installation folder) is in /usr/sbin but you don't need to go there at all.
The extensions folder in Linux for PHP is /usr/lib/php5/20060613/ but the last part of this path can be different according to the PHP-version.
As I can't see the Site page except for the small first part of it in your atached image, is it fully wrongly formatted, meaning there is e.g. no search-box with a search submit-button ?

Algunos idéas :
Para la configuración del 'Site' hay que editar el fijero
'bvs-site-config.php' en la carpeta htdocs/site, es-a-decir la sección
'environment' con los caminos correctos.
Pero : veo en su copia de la pantalla qe se muestra el site, pero en una
presentación mala, a menos en la parte de la paginá mostrada.
Su PHP tiene el fijero 'php_gd2' en la carpeta 'ext' ?
Qué carpeta has definido como 'DocumentRoot' en su configuración Apache ?
Normalmente debe ser ABCD/www/htdocs, entonce el ULR para el Site es
localhost/site, no localhost/htdocs/site.

I suppose you have put the bases-folder with user-rights 777 ('sudo chmod -R
777 bases' from within the ABCD/www folder) ?
How exactly does the error show up ? When e.g. you have a database which is
readable but not writable, it will display but once you ask for a worksheet
to edit a record, it will be empty.

Instalé de nuevo el ABCD en Ubuntu 10.10
Pero cualquier version que coloco, las nuevas, las anteriores -que guarde-
me dice cuando trato de abrir cualquier base

Ya les otorgue, con sudo nautilus, y mi pass, permisos para mi misma, de
todo:
escritura y lectura
Crear y eliminar archivos.
Hace tres dias que no logro abrir ninguna base. Llego hasta ahi.
Configuré los siguientes archivos
bvs-site-conf.php
iah.def.php
config.php
Debo tocar algo más?
apache2 y php5 se instalaron en etc/
Y otra carpeta apache2 esta dentro de la carpeta php5
¿Alguna sugerencia?
