[Isis-users] ABCD tiene FUTURO?

Hello,

the ABCD iAH-module (OPAC) indeed does NOT work properly with more recent versions of Ubuntu... I mentioned this to BIREME more than one year ago but without any feedback on this. They don't use Ubuntu and that is it..
The problem started occurring only with more recent versions, which seem to cause the OPAC to wrongloy extract substrings from the configuration files. After having done a first correct search (with which there is no problem) going to the 'configuration' screen shows the available PFT's wrongly, doing a refined search totally distorts the earlier query string, the prefixes get mixed up etc.etc.

The problem does not occur in older versions of Linux, e.g. Debian Lenny (5) or earlier versions of Ubuntu (up to 10.4).
As the only place where there is enough expertise on iAH available to debug such situation, we can only count on BIREME to work on this...

One more remark on the ABCD Live CD : running it from the CD itself - as is the idea for testing/exploring - by definition creates serious limitations : a CD is a read-only medium, so it is not possible to write certain configuration files, e.g. SeCS-Web tries to write temporary files in the temp-folder, databases cannot be edited etc. This is a problem for any library system running on a CD...

Ya he logrado poner tu ABCD en una maquina con linux-Ubuntu 10.10
Como te comentaba no funciona el formulario de busqueda avanzado, no traen resultados ninguna de las bases, aparece lo que mande como captura de pantalla, que es esto:
Expresión: (TI TI_PLAN ESTRATEGICO 2001-2005)
En mi ABCD en Ubuntu 10 10 hace lo mismo, dos AU AU, dos TI TI

Otra cosita es que si bien el SITE funciona, no del todo bien, la base Marc muestra, en la busqueda avanzada, los Prefijos y entonces no te realiza bien la busqueda....
Tampoco se puede ir desde
127-0-0-1/site/admin/
Coloco el usuario adm y la clave  x      y no me lleva a la edición del SITE para agregar, en la OPAC, una base nueva.

El tema me preocupa porque la gente migra de Windows a Linux y estas cosas, que ya me llevan 6 meses sin encontrarle la vuelta, te sucede a ti tambien, que eres Genio.
Luego es preocupante para aquellos que solo somos Bibliotecarios y que no le encuentran la pata al gato ni ahi, yo he cotejado archivo por archivo, incluso los log del apache, copié los tuyos ya que los mios no iban a ningun lado, ahora si entro en el ABCD con
127.0.0.1/index.php
Pero no puedo editar la OPAC ni puedo hacer busquedas.
Luego no se puede "colocar" el ABCD en forma funcional en el Ubuntu de una biblioteca.
¿Que se hace?
No es cuestion de resignarse a un soft mas o menos, cuando sabemos que en Windows las cosas funcionan.
Ademas creo que para que la gente lo instale, como hace con Winisis, sin la asistencia de un informatico, debe ser algo sencillo de hacer....
Tu CD viene con el mysql y en el primer texto que dice leer:
Dice:
Qué le falta?
    Hacer funcionar el Secs-Web
    Instalar el EmpWeb y MySql

Esto es nuevo? Es necesario el mysql ahora?
El EmpWeb, no se si Bireme lo esta repartiendo, yo lo tengo desde cuando Emiliano estaba con el... pero ese proyecto, ¿en que quedo?
No son todas las preguntas para Alberto, que ya hizo mil con el CD que nos facilitó.
Es para Bireme la pregunta tambien, las preguntas.

La necesidad de tener una herramienta que nos permita mostrar el funcionamiento y probar el sistema se generó a fines del año pasado.  Hoy podemos ofrecer la primera versión a la comunidad de usuarios de isis. Pensamos que puede ser muy útil para promocionar ABCD y mostrar como funciona en el ambiente Linux, también permite instalar el sistema en un equipo y lo deja listo para ser utilizado.

Hello everyone,

I have made a Live CD along with a group of people who work with me. It contains the UBUNTU 11.04 Linux distribution and the ABCD, both already installed. The need of a tool that allowed us to show how it works and test the system was something that came up at the end of last year. Today, we can offer the Isis user community the first version of it. We think it might be very useful to promote ABCD and show how it works in Linux environment. It also allows to install the system in a computer and it becomes ready to be used.
