[Isis-users] Circulation module: adding copies to loanobjects

Hi,

I would like to understand how the adding of loanobjects in the
circulation module should work:
I have added a copy to the copies database by adding a barcode and use
the status that it is in process.
I then use the option to add it to loanobjects, which most of the time
works. However, the status of the item in the copies database is not
changed to 'sent to loan objects'  - i have to edit the items manually
and change it to the new status. I also notice when I use the status
'pre-cataloguing' one can't use the 'add to loan objects' function.

I also would like to know what happens when I discard an item in the
copies database - will it be automatically removed from the loanobjects
database?
