Subject: [Isis-users] May 2012 Intermediate Release of J-ISIS
Dear CDS-ISIS users,
Please find for your consideration the May 2012 Intermediate Release of J-ISIS.
http://kenai.com/projects/j-isis/downloads/download/jisis_suite%2014%20May%202012.zip
The most significant new developments are:
1) 1)** Implementation of Pick Lists and Validation Rules as in WinISIS
http://kenai.com/projects/j-isis/downloads/download/PickList%20J-ISIS.doc
2) 2)**Improved and more robust data entry
http://kenai.com/projects/j-isis/downloads/download/Data%20Entry%20Draft.doc
The New Data Entry module for Digital Library management allows converting document s whatever their format (pdf, doc, docx, rtf, odt, ppt, xls, etc). The document is first converted in plain text and displayed in the data entry form. When saving the record, the record is saved in the database, indexed and the original document is transferred on the server side in the /idocs folder.
3) 3)** Embedded Web Server
As usual, I would be very grateful if you could take the time to try J-ISIS. All your comments, suggestions, improvement requests and bug descriptions are welcome.
With my best wishes,
Jean-Claude
