if the problem is that the meta-search pop-up window remains empty, probably you are using a more recent version of PHP (e.g. 5.3) and your file xml2tree.inc.php in www/htdocs/site/metaiah contains the following line near line 460 :
  if (!xml_parse($xml_parser, $xmlContent, "yes")) {
which should be changed to : 
  if (!xml_parse($xml_parser, $xmlContent, true)) {

Problems related to 64-bits were until now always occurring when modifying (e.g. 'configuration' or refining a search after the initial one) a search in the OPAC, e.g. names of selected print-format were wrongly read, the list of available formats in the menu is wrong or the used search-statement was shown incorrectly. These problems disappear when using a real 64-bits version of the CISIS-executables in cgi-bin.

No es problema de 64 bits
revisa la configuración de las metabusquedas, seguramente hay algún
error de sintaxis
