[Isis-users] Importing winisis records into abcd

In my view the best way to migrate data from larger databases like this one (14000 records) is to directly import the ISO-export from WinISIS into the ABCD-database, using the mx-command :

1. Go in a CMD-window (or Terminal if in Linux) and navigate to the data-folder of the destination database.
2. Copy the ISO-export into that folder, e.g. 'myISO.iso'
3. Copy the mx-executable from the ABCD cgi-bin folder into this folder for easier access
4. Run the following command, assuming your database is name 'myDB' (so please substitute 'myDB' for the real name !) :
mx iso=myISO.iso append=myDB now -all
(in Linux it would be necessary to add './' in front of the command)
5. Re-index your database fully (which could be done in one step combined with the previous one also) :
mx myDB fst=@ fullinv/ansi=myDB 

and your database will be ready.

Dear Colleagues'

i have a winisis database with a maximum 14200 records.i managed to recreate it in abcd (using create from winisis) with no problems including reconfiguring the fdt, fst. pft etc...

the problem i am encountering is DATA MIGRATION using the export/import function. exporting the whole database or in batches from winisis there is no problem, importing in abcd it gives an error after  3559 records.

to try to resolve this i did the following (winisis database);
1. unlock database
2. unlock records
no errors encountered.

i also noticed that when exporting first 3000 records am getting 2995 records, meaning that the other 5 are logical deleted.

how can i clean my 14 000+ winisis database before importing the MFNs or there is another option.
