*A) J-ISIS - The most significant new developments are:*

 1) Improvements of the Indexing and Searching module as follow:

   a) Index terms are normalized: i.e. converted to uppercase and without
diacritic characters.

   b) Query terms are also normalized to get the right term suggestions and
to get search results.

   c) Stopwords are automatically removed from the query if a stopwords
file is provided.

   d) FST entries (or lines) can have a name entered by the user that will
be used for indexing and searching instead of FST identifiers (tags).

   e) In case there is no name entered in the FST entry, the FST entry
identifier (or tag) is used but is now prefixed with an underline
character (for further processing with JavaScript and Solr).

   f) Highlighting of search terms in the results has been improved

*For example: Jóború will be indexed as JOBURU and querying for Jóború will
search records with fields/subflieds containing JOBORU but only Jóború
will be highlighted*

*WARNING!*

*ALL J-ISIS DATABASES NEED TO BE RE-INDEXED AFTER INSTALLATION OF J-ISIS 22
December 2013*

2) The "Advanced Data Entry" module has been improved so that when pressing
ENTER when you are editing a field or subfield, the cursor moves to the
next editable field/subfield in edit mode. UP and DOWN key moves
respectively to the previous and next editable field/subfield also in edit
mode. You can copy record content between databases.

3) The User has the opportunity to change the default RAW print format by
creating a RAW.pft format in the PFT editor.

4) Three important bugs are fixed: i) Exception Error when exporting with a
reformatting FST; ii) Exception Error when importing Arabic ISO file with
encoding "Windows-1256"; iii) Resource missing when starting J-ISIS in
Spanish.

*B) J-ISIS Reference Manual*

It has been completely revised to reflect the latest changes and it
provides more information on how to use J-ISIS.

The Search and Data Entry chapters have been completely rewritten with many
small examples that the user can try itself.

*C) Web-JISIS*

It has been updated to be synchronized with the new changes in J-ISIS 22
December 2013.

As usual, I would be very grateful if you could take the time to try
J-ISIS. All your comments, suggestions, improvement requests and bug
descriptions are welcome.

Merry Christmas and my best wishes for a wonderful 2014 year,

Jean-Claude
