Actually I think only Site and OPAC (with MyLibrary, something people are working on now) are relevant for mobile access. I don't think catalogers will be doing their job by mobile devices.
So those modules are exactly the ones of main relevance to BIREME. Any chance BIREME is going to look at mobile access to their main applications ?

Dear Henk

I see a difference between the application available through a social network and a mobile application. By publishing a service application on a social network such as facebook, google+ etc, would make it available through the web, therefore without the need to install any application at all on the client side. It is ready to be consumed.

On the other hand, applications built specificaly to run on a given platform would have benefits such as security, system's behaviour and functionalities and platform connectivity. So, this is also very interesting but demands more efforts in system development cycle provided the application would be suited for a specific system platform.

Once again, these are my personal opinions on those subjects.

This seems to work fine but as I'm only a very basic Facebook user I'm not sure what the advantage is.  Is it useful with mobile phones? Or do young people prefer to stay in Facebook rather than go to a normal website?
