[Isis-users] ABCD IAH Interface

If you mean that ABCD asks you whether to save or run the wxis-executable in a pop-up dialog box, this means that something is wrong with the URL which was launched for that action. E.g. if the name of the database is wrong or the executable cannot be found in the given path, ABCD shows that behavior.
That can be caused by either a wrong .def file for your database, or - as we found out - by memory corruption caused by the wxis-executable which is no longer compatible with the newer Linux-versions like Ubuntu12.04 (before there was no problem).
Please check or communicate the .def file for your database.

As for the incompatiblity of wxis.exe : BIREME has meanwhile compiled new versions after some debugging, so they are available for testing. Please contact Ernesto Spinak as it was agreed that all communication on this would go through him (to avoid overloading and misunderstandings).

Subject: ABCD IAH Interface

Hi,

I have ABCD installations on Windows 7, and on Ubuntu 12.04.
When I want to open the Web page on the Ubuntu servers and want to do a search by clicking on the letter starting with a stem, the browser starts to download and saves it. This happens with Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.,
I do not have the problem on the Windows 7 installation.
When accessing ABCD for editing, etc. there is no problem.
Please advise what I have to change.
Thanks
Renate
