[Isis-users] Database outside default configuration

Good day,
I have ABCD on Windows 7 installed.
I want to have databases outside the normal location, i.e. on a Apple MAC server.
I added a line to the db_path.dat, e.g. 
//vbox/shared_items/ | Other databases.

I copied the following folders to the new folder:
access
par
lang
wrk
www

also abcd.def, bases.dat, and the dbn.par files in par.
However, when I want to login onto ABCD selecting the new folder, I get abcd.def not found, although I know it is there.
What should be changed?
