[Isis-users] WORKSHOP RDA IN ABCD // TALLER RDA EN ABCD

I am organizing a workshop on 'RDA in ABCD', 16-18 March in Cuenca, Ecuador at the university.
RDA is the set of cataloging rules as a follower-up on AACR2 which we need to implement into the ABCD MARC21 structures. Basically it introduces some more fields to allow 'FRBR'-izing records (cross-linking like 'show all manifestations of the same work' etc. Many bigger and international libraries, to start with LC, have already adopted this standard and most library systems are incorporating it now. So we will do for ABCD now and we want to present it at that workshop with some explanations, demonstrations and exercises.
For the cataloging expertise mr. Piet De Keyser from UCCL (Leuven, Belgium) will be present.
At this occasion we will also present the new features of ABCD v1.5 (Guilda Ascencio herself will be present) and ABCD 2.0 (by my Cuban colleague Marcos Mirabäl and myself).

Any interested library, currently or prospectively using ABCD, is invited to send a participant. However my project's budget only allows for supporting the organisation of the event and the presence of the above mentioned experts.

The workshop will be repeated in Arusha, Tanzania, end of March 2016, for African ABCD users.

Estimados colegas,

Estoy organizando un taller sobre 'RDA en ABCD ", 16-18 de marzo en Cuenca, Ecuador en la universidad.
RDA es el conjunto de reglas de catalogación como seguidor al AACR2 que tenemos que implementar en las estructuras ABCD MARC21. Básicamente se introduce algunas más campos para permitir elementos y técnicas de FRBR, p.e. que muestran "todas las manifestaciones de la misma obra ", etc. Muchas bibliotecas más grandes e internacionales, p.e. LC  ya han adoptado esta norma y la mayoría de los sistemas de bibliotecas están incorporando ahora. Así que vamos a hacer por ABCD ahora y queremos presentarla en ese taller con algunas explicaciones, demostraciones y ejercicios.
Para la experiencia catalogación el sr. Piet De Keyser desde UCCL (Lovaina, Bélgica) estará presente.
En esta ocasión también se presentarán las novedades de v1.5 ABCD (Guilda Ascencio misma estará presente) y ABCD 2.0 (por mi colega cubano Marcos Mirabal y yo).

Cualquier biblioteca interesada, usuaro de ABCD actualmente o en el futuro, se invita a enviar un participante. Sin embargo el presupuesto de mi proyecto sólo permite el apoyo a la organización del evento y la presencia de los expertos antes mencionados.

El taller se repetirá en Arusha, Tanzania, a finales de marzo de 2016, para los usuarios de ABCD africanos.
