Hola Adolfo,

 Hello Adolfo
Thank you for your offer and above all because you follow us, although busy
and silent, but it is important to know that people, like you, follow us and
read.
Jean-Claude's effort deserves it.

(Versión en Español más abajo)

Dear co-listers,

It's been a while since the last time I contributed to this list. I keep an
eye on it however and when I'm not too busy I even follow the conversations
closely.

This topic caught my attention as I remember long time ago suggesting tools
like Github for collaboration purposes and I'm glad to see that finally
something has come to action in this regard.

I would be more than happy to help anyone with doubts about how to use
Github and contribute to any repository that is related to J-Isis (or, for
that matter, to any other piece of software). Please do not hesitate to
shoot me your doubts about how to use Github and the best collaboration
techniques

Dear Jean-Claude,

May I suggest that, besides sharing the binary format of PDF files through
Github, it would be extremely helpful to share whichever editable format you
might use as source for the PDF compilation so that other users can directly
contribute to the documents in the repository? Traditionally git (and
therefore Github) repositories are intended to host text documents like
source code rather than binaries which cannot easily be edited, and for
which history / change control can't be traced directly. Some users (most
noticeably Linux users) would besides have a hard time editing PDF documents
on their own.

Thanks and best regards,

-Adolfo Hernandez (Jr)-

Estimados co-listeros,

-Adolfo Hernandez (Jr)-

Dear ISIS Users,

I have drafted a document to help you finding your way on GitHub for J-ISIS
project, you can download it from the link below:

ub.pdf>
https://github.com/jcd92410/J-ISIS/blob/master/J-ISIS%20Project%20on%20GitHu
b.pdf

I would be grateful if you could take the time to read it and let me know if
is clear enough or how it could be improved.

I encourage you to create an account on GiHub (This is completely free, you
just have to provide a user ID and a password) and to follow jcd92410.

When you follow someone on GitHub, you'll get notifications on your
dashboard about their activity.

Once you are on one of the J-ISIS pages, click the "follow" button.

Best wishes,

Jean-Claude
