[Isis-users] Z39.50 and authority files

Let’s join forces then and make it Spanish and English.
I tested Z39.50 for the name authority database (NAF) at Library of Congress and had good results.

Dear Piet,

Currently I work with a authority database in ABCD with 4 Worksheets (Personal names, corporate names, geography names, meeting  names and uniform title) in spanish. Your idea is interesting, copy authority records with Z39.50. What server Z39.50 has used for tests?

Dear all,

I was working on an authority database in ABCD and saw a difference in Z39.50 between the Spanish version and the other versions: in the Spanish version of Z39.50 there is an extra search line: “Base de datos de autoridades”. Clearly it is meant to search for authority data, but I cannot figure out how it works, nor can I find what the source of this difference between the Spanish and the other versions is. Anybody any idea?
