everything depends on how your base is indexed, i.e. the FST
suppose you have an FST like
1 0 (|F1_|V1/)
2 8 '/F2_/', V2

then your boolean formulation would be   "bool=F1_water * F2_soil"
this is just an example, I hope you got the idea
