Deal All, 

Thanks, for your comments that allowed me to understand a little bit more
about the picklist subject.  

I did a several tests and in the end I chose to edit the file where picklist
values were defined and cut the first  (code) column, staying in the file
only with the meaning list. Until now, it works nice to me. The picklist
shows the meanings, and the data saved in the record is the meaning chose,
this way presentation is performed directly without any issue.

ABCD will always save both the code and the 'meaning' of the code in 2
separate subfields, i.e. ^a and ^b.
Check the examples e.g. in users-database (v10).

Piet,

Are there some way to config the picklist to save the meaning on the
database instead of the code? I mean instead of have a 5 in this record,
save “Publicação de estatutos de”

Jacinto,

Now I understand the problem. Of course: you save the codes from you
pick-list and now you want to display the words they represent. In that case
you should write something like the following in you PFT:

If v200:’5’ then ‘Publicação de estatutos de’ fi

Etc.

Should I do something at the PFT file to do a lookup ?

Jacinto,

It first sight it seems OK, but: your picklist is named TipoAnuncios.dat and
in you FDT I see TipoAnuncios. Is there another file named TipAnuncios
(without “.dat”)? Why do you want to “Listar como” v200? This makes no sense
when using a picklist. There is no v200 in a picklist. Delete that and try
again.

It is not very clear what you mean. I think it is something like this: in
the picklist you normally have something like the following:



ML|Main Library

SL|Social Library



Normally you should see the description (Social Library etc.) while the
system saves the code for it (SL). Is this what you mean and if so, what
goes wrong?

Dear All

I am new with the abcd, I would like to know where I can get the tutorial
and manuals from the abcd.

At the moment, I am with troubles with a database field with a picklist. In
the presentation I get a code where I want the see the description.

Could someone give me an idea how to do that correctly.
