Unfortunately I have no idea of the root cause of your problem.
Questions that arise immediately:
- what is the exact version of ABCD (there are several versions "1")
- what is the database architecture (13-30/../../../ffi)
- Is the problem related to only 1 data base in your system?
- What is the OS and its version of your server?
- Is it possible that the failure is related to 1 user?

Here are some hints that might be beneficial
- Switch to a more recent version of ABCD: Download from 
https://abcd-community.org/dowloads/
- Enter your problem on the community forum: 
https://abcd-community.org/forums/
- Switch to the latest version of ABCD as shown om github 
(https://github.com/ABCD-DEVCOM/ABCD2)


Unlocking is in the latest version rather easy:
