[Isis-users] New ISIS-OAI-PMH

Dear colleagues,

I am writing this email to inform you that the OAI-PMH system that
accompanies ABCD has been completely rebuilt and is now functional for both
MARC databases that use WXIS ISO-8859-1 and Dublin Core databases that use
WXIS UTF-8.

For those who already have ABCD installed and do not wish to update the
entire system just to test ISIS-OAI-PMH, you can simply download the
isis-oai-provider directory (
https://github.com/ABCD-DEVCOM/ABCD2/tree/master/www/htdocs/isis-oai-provider
).

*What has changed:*

- There are no longer multiple configuration files; now the settings for
Linux and Windows are only in the oai-config.php and oai-databases.php
files, following the logic of the ABCD general configuration file, which
has both settings in it.

Another thing that has been adjusted are the oai_cd conversion tables,
which were previously oai-dc, causing errors. The current structure is as
follows (marc.i2x):


root=oai_dc

245 dc:title
500 dc:description
650 dc:subject
001 dc:identifier
980 dc:date

Field mapping files such as the ones above should be stored in the ‘map/’
directory within ‘isis-oai-provider’ with the .i2x extension.

The interface is available for the four standard ABCD languages and can be
tested at: https://demo.abcd-community.org/isis-oai-provider/
