Hello Renate

You can switch off the captcha in file .../bases/abcd.def with an editor
It contains a line "CAPTCHA=Y"

Also interactively by "Configuration ABCD" -> "Logo and styles" -> "Edit 
security settings" - scroll to the bottom and click the radio button
