Maybe you have to clean your original MST in Winisis
I'd recommed to use CISIS utility MXCP if your database if NOT a
marc-like structure
use this syntax
mxcp mybase create=xxx clean tell=100
then copy xxx.* mybase.*
and try again the exportation
Dear all,
We figured out that:
1) the error message as cited in the previous mail ("The result was a more than three-fold increase in FP") is not the ABCD message. Apparantly it is part of one of the records. Importing other records of the database gives the error message "WXIS|execution error|import|6-53.84, respectively. The percentage ADF; NDF and hemicellu|"
2) there was a problem with a record. If I export from winisis and import in ABCD record 1-645 en 650 -9999 we get a different error (the one in the line above). There are many more records resulting in errors.
3) the same errors occur in ABCD 1.05 and in 1.2beta; so it does not seem to be a version problem
4) I did do Ernesto's "tomography" and corrected all the potential problems
5) I did uncheck .fdt in ABCD: it is "valid"
6) I did uncheck the "inverted file generation" when importing. I am sure it is no time out problem
I could go on and export record by record to go from every record to the next, but i'm sure there is a smarter solution for checking. Anyone having any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Peter

Did you use the option to index the newly incoming records on-the-fly ? If so I would suggest to switch this option 'Inverted File generartion' off and first test and perform the indexing separately afterwards, to keep the importing process clean from anything related to indexing.
I don't know however exactly the given WXIS-error, I am just guessing it comes from the indexing.
Could you perhaps also explain your statement :
"I am pretty sure this happens if I import the second batch and the total number of imported records is 649."
again ?
Do you mean the second batch of 500 records ends prematurely at MFN 649 ? Is that when the error pops up ?
I hope someone from BIREME where knowledge about the internals of WXIS (and its error messages) is available, reads this and picks it up..

Subject: [Isis-users] error The result was a more than three-fold increase in FP
Dear all,
I was using ABCD version 1.2beta for a Ghanaian Institute. I want to convert data from an existing WinIsis installation.
I have created a new database in ABCD which went OK. the database is there. Now I want to import the data.
I have done the export from WinIsis to an .iso file. To prevent time outs i have exported only 500 records. When importing I get an wxis error message saying: "The result was a more than three-fold increase in FP".
I am pretty sure this happens if I import the second batch and the total number of imported records is 649.
What could be the problem?
Kind regards,
