which version of ABCD are you using ? I thought this problem long ago had been solved by replacing the 'add field' method by a newer one (with the XML-tags, e.g. <100>new value for v100</100>, in order to avoid the apostrophe to be seen as the end of the string
to be added.
In fact I just tested to add a title with apostrophe without a problem.
Subject: [Isis-users] string behind apostrophe in field with subfields

Dear Egbert, Ernesto and Guilda,

I posted a ticket several years ago about this problem, but it is not yet resolve, so I recall it again to draw your attention :

The French language uses regularly the sign apostrophe (‘).
In ABCD, when one opens a record with a group-type field (a field with subfields) storing a string containing an apostrophe, the part of string after the apostrophe disappears.

For example :

1. I enter a title in v210a and update the field. It looks as follows :

[cid:image003.jpg@01D31AB7.A3E30D60]

2. Then I click the plus sign to edit the field and I get the following :

[cid:image004.png@01D31AB7.A3E30D60]

Even though I change and resume, I get the same result.

Could you propose a solution to this problem ?
May thanks.
