All,

As more libraries implement the new ABCD integrated library system, it would be helpful to maintain a registry of those organizations making use of the software.

I would like any libraries or information centers using ABCD to consider registering that information on the lib-web-cats directory of libraries:
 http://www.librarytechnology.org/libwebcats/

This directory includes around 60,000 libraries around the world and includes information on the library automation products used. It is a popular resource that many libraries to find out which of their peers use any given automation system when they are in the process of considering a new system or needing help with their current system.

To date, only three libraries are registered as using ABCD:
  http://www.librarytechnology.org/libraries.pl?ILS=ABCD

By contrast, over 1,200 libraries using Koha are registered:
  http://www.librarytechnology.org/libraries.pl?ILS=Koha

It seems advantageous for the CDS/ISIS and ABCD community to be better represented in this directory.

You can submit the information for your library directly into lib-web-cats through the submission form:
   http://www.librarytechnology.org/lwc-submit-library.pl
(Please perform a search of lib-web-cats first to be sure your library or information center is not already included.)

If you use one of the other CDS/ISIS products, please also consider registering.

You can also send the information to me by e-mail.

I appreciate your consideration.

Best regards,

-marshall
