There is no, or not yet, an 'interface' element to do this, you are right. But if you remove the files in the  loans-subfolder for the database which you want to remove (they are in the related language sub-folder of that loans-subfolder), the database will be removed from the list of already defined catalogs for the loans-system.
I hope this is what you referred to ?
