Hello,

indeed your database contains a lot of corrupted records, meaning the XRF-entry didn't match the positions into the MST-file. Many reasons can have caused this.

I used the  BIREME-tool 'mkxrf' (which is included in ABCD), rather than the one of UNESCO referred to earlier, to reconstruct your database and the result, with 16379 good records, is attached in the ISO-file, which you can import over your existing database. So about 400 MFN's were deleted from the original database, probably because they were already logically deleted or they couldn't be recovered. They were situated mostly at the beginning of the database.

I have sixteen thousand, seven hundred and seventy nine records in the database.

When i used this tool: http://www.unesco.org/isis/files/winisis/windows/utilities/mstrcv2.exe It has given me an error "Memory allocation error, Cannot load COMMAND. System halted". After displaying the error message, i have tried to open the database again but, i can still only view the previous records, and i cannot add new record. I attached the error message.

I also attached the files you have requested. Please, let me know if you need any additional files. Thank you very much

How big is the database ?
Would it be possible to avail to us the MST and XRF files for that specific database, maybe also the default worksheet (.FMT) ? We could then do some tests.

I’m Abdullahi Maimaje Bello, working at National Water Resources Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria.

One of their WinSIS database is corrupted, they can view their previous data but, they can not insert new records.
