Hi Renate,
The Availability button I have mentioned is shown on the picture in page 48 of
http://abcd.netcat.be/files/documents/EmpWeb_Manual_Draft.pdf.
I asked twice about it in the list, and considering that only Egbert answered something mentioning the parameter you've quoted, I realized it was up to me. So, I debugged some codes and checked that empwebavailability.php was doing nothing. So, I created a copy of availability.php, adapted the code to my needs and changed the url call to this new file. It's working fine, so far, so good.

Hi,
I have never worked with EMPWEB, but do the loaning of items from ABCD > Circulation module.
What button should be visible for EMPWEB? And how do I configure it?
I added the EMPWEB = Y to the config.php, but then ABCD central does not open.
Could you explain shortly how you configured it?
Regards
Renate
Hi all,
Does anyone have Availability button on Catalogue working fine?
Really appreciate if someone could share config.php file or some settings necessary.
Thanks,

Hi Egbert,
No, oddly such variable wasn't even present on my config.php. But I tried it out and still not working.
Those lines below really apply when using empweb integrated with ABCD? Such directories don't exist.
$empwebservicequerylocation = "http://localhost:8086/ewengine/services/EmpwebQueryService";
$empwebservicetranslocation = "http://localhost:8086/ewengine/services/EmpwebTransactionService";
$empwebserviceobjectsdb = "objetos";
$empwebserviceusersdb = "*";
I have read documents about empweb configuration and realize there shoud be a file named isis_ABCDmarc_objectsconfig.xml to be set. But couldn't find it in the directories. I'm not sure if it does also apply when using ABCD 1.4 version.
Thanks for your time.

Do you have the 'EMPWEB=Y' variable set in config.php ?
The availability.php script checks this variable and splits its instructions according to it to either checking the Central Loans mechanism of checking the trans-database, or either the Empweb method of querying MySQL transa-table.
You use seemingly Empweb and the MySQL connector also seems to work, so maybe it is only a small issue to solve.

Dear members,
Button Availability, on Catalogue, does not work for me regardless the data base in use. Even on Marc base.
I have ABCD (Central 1.4 package) running on Linux Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (virtual machine), MySQL 5.5.38 and PHP 5.5.9. Loan process is working fine, I'm able to loan and return items. But on Catalogue (site), Availability button does not display any items. It pops up with an empty list. Tutorials on the web didn't help enough.
Does anyone know how to make it operational?
