You can easily copy the mx executable in Linux named as 'mx.exe' which was kept for compatibility with Windows. I agree a more practical solution would have been to simply omit .exe also in Windows because the extension is not necessary, but since first a check is done on the existence of the file the extension was included.

Records not being saved after entering them always means the access rights not being fully o.k. (777 as they should be indeed). Did you put these also for all subfolders, i.e.
chmod -R 777 bases
?
Is the users-database the only one with this problem ? Another possible issue for non-saving might be that there is something wrong with indexing (which is automatically done at saving time), e.g. by an error in the FST. E.g. the database might have been locked or corruption.
Other reasons for such problem we are not aware of...

Hello,

I have ABCD 1.5 installed in Ubuntu Linux (64-bit ) however shows some errors . When I try generate the inverted file displays the error message:

/var/www/vhosts/cpmg.org.br/httpdocs/abcd/httpd/cgi-bin/mx.exe: missing file.

the file mx is in the folder but not .exe why linux


Another problem is when I try to create a User , and clicking save the system does nothing and does not generate the registration of the User . Can anybody help me? The permissions Access base folder are 777.
