[Isis-users] Public site configuration: ABCD - Linux

It depends...
You can as well keep wxis.exe named as such (with the extenion .exe) in Linux, it will run as an executable as long as it has executable rights. Then in the URL you should also keep the name as being wxis.exe. In fact that is how we envisaged it to keep it as close to the Windows version as possible.

You have to make sure the iah-configuration file iah.def.php (in htdocs/iah/scripts) points to the right location of wxis, esp. for the PATH_CGI-BIN variable and make it absolute (starting from the root).

Hello Renate,

I had had such a problem

1. Be sure in the structure of you CGI-Bin is exactly what the URL suggests.
2. Be sure you have wxis (and not wxis.exe) in the cgi-bin folder. In linux environement, the executable version of wxis is wxis and not wxis.exe
3. in the abcd configuration file , change the URL by deleting the .exe following the 'wxis'

Subject: [Isis-users] Public site configuration: ABCD - Linux

Good day,

After configuring the public site in ABCD - Linux, and testing the searching of the databases, it gives me the following error:

Not Found
The requested URL /cgi-bin/wxis.exe/iah/scripts/ was not found on this server.

I do not have a problem with the same setup on Windows 7.
The files are there, and I checked the permissions and they are set at 755.

Any suggestion what is wrong?
Renate
