Tengo una base de 8500 registros a la que logre limpiar claves rechazadas y además cambiar, no solo >< sino > <
Y hacer el campo 76, repetible, de hecho esta colgada y los descriptores navegables y además con viñetas..

Ahora, que pasa si a esa base, que tenia un campo notas (v68) se lo quité porque ese campo estaba con tres o cuatros paginas de notas, luego se colgaba o se tildaba la base e incluso la generación del invertido sobre todo en el GenisisWeb
Si yo tengo un iso, solo de ese campo... como se lo sumo a la base en Winisis?
¿Existe esa posibilidad? ¿O estoy pidiendo un milagro de Cristo?

Now, that base has a field notes (v68). I erased It because the field is with three or four pages of notes, the base was hung and even the generation of the invested file, in the GenisisWeb
If I have an iso, alone of that field... like you the supreme thing to the base in Winisis?
Does that possibility exist? Or am I requesting Christ's miracle?

Quiero dejar constancia de mi infinito agradecimiento a nuestra querida MMM por su valiosísimo aporte del "paso a paso".
Naturalmente, como ella lo hace notar, remitimos al origen nuestro reconocimiento a las múltiples ayudas, manos y sugerencias que todo el tiempo nos brinda Ernesto Spinak.
Son muchas, muchas las ocasiones en que los conocimientos, paciencia y generosidad de ambos, me han permitido solucionar problemas que, de otro modo, hubiera sido imposible.
En esta ocasión, el tema era poder cambiar la opción que habíamos tomado hace muchos años al generar en un campo las ocurrencias, identificándolas con <> e indizándo con técnica 2; de modo de poder plantearnos una presentación más adecuada a los tiempos que corren.
Agrego, pensando en los colegas que aborden esta tarea, que mi experiencia empezó por variar la .fdt para definir el campo a cambiar a repetible, la .fst para cambiar la técnica de indización de 2 a 0, a la vez que especificar que el campo es repetible y -finalmente- tocar la visualización en el formato de salida.
En mi caso debía variar 4 campos para los cuales corrí una sola vez el xxx.txt, y 4 veces los pasos restantes. El otro aspecto que comento es que en la indicación de modificación del signo > hube de quitar el espacio antes de | puesto que así correspondía exactamente al ingreso de los datos en la base.

María Mercedes' question is very important to all users of Isis family, so I'll give one of the many solutions in my basic English (or something like this)
Using the <...> to mark terms to be indexed with technique 2, is really a problem today because it conflicts with html/xml tags
The reason for using this technique goes back to the distant past of computers (about 30 years), when hard drives were very expensive and each byte you saved in a record was significant. A 10MB hard disk in the early 80s could cost a week's wages,
But let us turn to the problem
My personal view (others may say different) is that it is convenient to convert all fields using <...> for indexing, to repeatable fields. There are two or three ways to do this using CISIS programs ... surely you were already suspecting ;-)
Let's take the CDS demo database that comes with the Winisis to explain the trick
(I hear a scream of Wenke Adam from the other side of the Andes ... but yes, CDS demo base is very convenient
Method I
CDS dbase uses field 69 with keywords enclosed with <...>
69 Paper on: <plant physiology> <moisture> <temperature> <wind> <measurement and instruments> <ecosystems>
We will replace the chains: >< and > < by the symbol %
and we will also remove from the records the begining text: Paper on:
for this we need to build a gizmo file
a simple way to make a gizmo file is preparing a simple text file using notepad and then create the gizmo using mx
Let's create xxx.txt with notepad and write the following lines
> <|%
> <|%
> |
<|
Paper on: |
give <enter> in the last line, and save it
Note that lines 3 to 5 do not have anything to the right of the symbol |
now from the command line of the operating system do the following
C:\> mx seq=xxx.txt create=xxx now -all
C:\> mx cds gizmo=xxx,69 create=cds1 now -all tell=10
Now let's take a look to the field v69, and see the changes
69 plant physiology%moisture%temperature%wind%measurement and instruments%ecosystems
Almost there, missing a step
c:\> mxcp cds1 create=cds2 repeat=%,69 clean
look now the record
69 «plant physiology»
69 «moisture»
69 «temperature»
69 «wind»
69 «measurement and instruments»
69 «ecosystems»
There are other more sophisticated ways to do the same, but when you master this procedure ask for the rest
It is highly recommended that you learn to use the tools included in CISIS package,
