The 'add to loanobjects' was a contribution from elsewhere (Cuba) which I will try to incorporate again into version 1.4 after the basic scripts have been tested fully.
It is meant to create a loanobjects database from a catalog database with copies-info in the catalog records.

Renate.
The model copies -> loanobjects was built for those libraries that have a lot of items for each catalographic record and wanted to use empweb, that is a very sofisticated loan system.
But if you have a reasonable quantity of items for each catalographic record, let's say <50, and your loan policies are not too much sophisticated you can use the loan system module of ABCD and define the items in the catalographic record. Please see in the demo at abcdwiki.net<http://abcdwiki.net> the option named "Demo ABCD with no copies"

Hi,
For the loan system to work does one need the copies and loan objects databases, or would loan objects alone be ok as well?
On the previous ABCD version under Utilities there was a menu 'add to loan objects' but now I do not see it anymore?
Please let me know.
Thanks
Renate
